Another collaboration with the students from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA - Las Piñas!
Under the banner of FCL, they dedicated their time to serve the children at Oikos Helping Hand Learning Center.
The goal?
To impart valuable life lessons and foster unity among these young minds.
To serve the children in Oikos Helping Hand Learning Center as one way for them to view a valuable life lesson, leading up to creating unity. This can allow them personally to learn and to make positive changes for themselves by formulating their shared experiences, and bringing smiling faces regardless of the poor environment they are living in. It seeks to strengthen the community for the children with solidarity, with the hope of making the world a better place.
Thank you UPHSD team Philip, for choosing Oikos Helping Hand as the canvas for your advocacy. "Bettering the World, One Child at a Time" is not just a slogan; it's a commitment.

Icons of Change Awards 2025
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education
Champion in Transformative Education and Rehabilitation
University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Bilibid Extension School (UPHSD-BES)
The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Bilibid Extension School (UPHSD-BES) is a pioneering educational institution that has become a key driver of social transformation. In partnership with the Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR) and the Rotary Club of Las Piñas, UPHSD-BES has created an effective model for rehabilitating medium-risk prisoners through education and vocational training, equipping them with the necessary skills to reintegrate successfully into society.
Founded by Dr. Antonio L. Tamayo, the program is rooted in the idea that education is a powerful tool for rehabilitation and empowerment. Offering programs like the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, Senior High School, and Computer Servicing Courses, UPHSD-BES prepares students for future self-sufficiency and economic independence. These programs not only impart academic knowledge but also provide practical business and technical skills that help students become entrepreneurs and skilled workers post-incarceration.
UPHSD-BES places a significant emphasis on character development and ethical conduct, shaping students into responsible citizens and leaders. Through a combination of classroom instruction, co-curricular activities, and community projects, students are encouraged to become socially-conscious entrepreneurs who prioritize integrity and positive social impact. This holistic approach ensures that graduates are not only equipped with skills but also with values that prepare them for a successful life after prison.
The partnership with BUCOR plays a crucial role in the success of this program, providing the infrastructure necessary for high-quality education, including classrooms, libraries, and laboratories that meet the standards set by CHED and the Department of Education (DepEd). Furthermore, BUCOR ensures the safety and security of the faculty and students, making the learning environment conducive to growth and development.
Since its founding in 1984, UPHSD-BES has seen 1,045 graduates across its various programs. Among these are 608 BS in Entrepreneurship students, 240 Computer Hardware Servicing graduates, and 197 Senior High School graduates. These individuals have gone on to establish businesses or secure jobs locally and internationally, contributing to society and proving the effectiveness of the program in breaking the cycle of incarceration and poverty.
The success of UPHSD-BES has been recognized through numerous awards, both nationally and internationally. Some of its most notable achievements include:
- PACUCOA Preso Noon Global Worker Ngayon Award (Top 2, December 2024)
- The World University Ranking for Innovations (WURI), Ranked 37 on Ethical Value (May 18, 2023)
- PACUCOA Sustainable Employment After Prison Education Award (Top 1, December 2022)
- CHED's Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ITZN Award) (August 26, 2022)
These awards show the institution's commitment to transforming lives and creating opportunities for marginalized communities through education. UPHSD-BES is a powerful example of how educational initiatives can play a transformative role in social reintegration and economic development.
Looking ahead, UPHSD-BES aims to expand its reach and replicate its success in other areas, offering more individuals the chance to benefit from its life-changing programs. The school is also committed to strengthening its entrepreneurial initiatives, providing even more opportunities for students to acquire the skills they need to build sustainable futures.
As a leader in transformative education, UPHSD-BES continues to demonstrate that education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about shaping lives, empowering individuals, and creating positive change in society.

First Letter: Me
-  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -
Dear Reader,
If you are reading this, I hope you had a nice day. I’m certain that you still do not know who I am as I have not introduced myself yet. So, If you are interested in getting to know me, please keep on reading :)
Hi! I would like to formally introduce myself. I am Renalyn Dhana Sanchez Igmen, born on the 7th day of April 2003 and now 17 years old. I am a grade 12 student at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Molino taking the academic strand STEM. The reason behind my choice of strand is because of my ambition of becoming a doctor, although it is uncertain whether I would pursue this dream or not. One things is for sure, though; I will be taking the course Bachelor of Science in Psychology on college. Why? I will tell you later. Let me further introduce myself, first..
I am the eldest daughter of my parents and I have one younger sister. Due to this fact, I have grown to be independent. I always run errands for my mom and do a lot of things on my own. Though I also need help sometimes, I would prefer being the one helping instead. I will call myself reliable. If you need a helping hand, you can reach out to me and I will do my best to help in any way I can. As a student, when it comes to group tasks, I like taking charge whenever there is no one else initiating. I can lead but I also make sure to listen to everyone’s opinions. I am also a responsible student. However, I prefer doing my assignments a day before the deadline or on the day of the deadline because I am more motivated knowing the deadline is near. I always make sure I did my best though. I pay attention to details and make sure my works are well-thought of. I am a visual learner. I am able to learn more efficiently when I read or write something than listening to someone talking. When it comes to subjects, I struggle in most parts of Math related subjects, perform averagely in Science subjects and mostly do well in English subjects because it has always been my favorite subject since elementary school.
As a person in general, I can’t say I am very friendly. I like having friends and talking to friends but I am not very good in conversing with new people. I am neither an introvert nor an extrovert, the term is ambivert. I may seem aloof at first but don’t let my appearance fool you because that is just me being shy. Approach me and I would love to talk to you. However, I do have a smaller circle of friends now compared to what I had back in junior high school. I like to keep it that way because of a bad experience I had back then, I was betrayed by some people I considered close friends. But, that’s all in the past now. I am very happy with how things are working now.
When it comes to my personal interests, I have a lot of things to tell. My hobbies are reading, writing, watching movies/shows, baking, fangirling, playing mobile games. I love reading, though not always books. I own a lot of short novels and fiction books but that is only because they are affordable and accessible. For the other things I am interested in, I can only research and read about them in the internet. That is why I believe I am fortunate for being born in the time of technological innovation. I also love writing, may it be stories, or short poems. I also love watching movies (mostly romance and fantasy genres), Korean dramas and some Anime. After taking the elective Baking in junior high school, I grew an interest in it, that is why I also began practicing it at home. I am not an expert but I can bake!  I am also a fanatic of the K-pop boy group EXO, that is why fangirling is one of my hobbies. Lastly, playing mobile games is my past time and source of entertainment.
When I was very young, I wanted to be a fashion designer. I loved drawing dresses and I was very girly. Then, when I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a teacher, probably because I have a big respect and great admiration to my teachers. But, upon reaching junior high school, I started seeing what I really wanted. I want to be a doctor and I also found myself interested in things related to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. For some reason, I just grew a deep interest in mental illnesses and this is also what opened my eyes to the importance of mental health. I want to advocate on Mental Health Awareness as it is a relevant issue that is still being overlooked by most people in our society. That is why, I want to study B.S. Psychology in college. Whether or not I will go to Medical School after getting my bachelor’s degree will depend on the state of my life during that time.
I am very sorry for the long introduction. But, I do hope you have an idea about who I am now. Take note that this is only my first letter to you and there are more to come. <3
Before ending this letter, I want to share my motto in life: “Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.” Drop your worries and let time flow. You don’t have to rush things because life is not a race and we all have our own pace. The person you are meant to be is not like a treasure that you will find buried in a chest, rather, he/she is created and shaped throughout your journey. So, keep in mind that the person you will be is all up to you.
Yours Truly, Dhana

MY PROPAGANDA SPEECH ABOUT OUTING:
youtube
First and foremost, I want to personally thank my MIL advisory teacher, Ms. Lissa Barrioga for giving us, Perpetualites, this wonderful opportunity, and I would also like to express my gratitude because of her efforts, considerations, and thoughtfulness not only to me but also to my fellow students as well. Let us all give her a round of applause.
And also to Tumblr users out there who are maybe watching and listening to my speech right now, good day to each and every one.
For my 18 years of existence, I've experienced a lot of things. I know it is not just me but the others as well who are trying to be strong and bold enough in their daily lives due to the peak situations that they have encountered however when it comes to myself, I focus more on finding my true identity.
Ever since I was born my religion is Roman Catholic. You know that most of their people are serious when it comes to that religion.
But here I am, just being so positive and being unproblematic queen as far as I can. The reason behind that is because I'm proud to say that I am gay, who is proud and loud to work it with flying colors.
Being part of the LGBT+ community was never been so easy. At first, I was harassed with the beliefs and judgements of many people to the point wherein it makes me feel uncomfortable which led my mindset was trapped and stocked because it manifested in my mind that whatever I do is a mistake.
It made me realized that I didn't deserve to live by myself peacefully and that I was constrained to express myself freely. And it makes me feel that I'm choked at all times. Like it forces me to surrender or to give up on my life. They're treating me like a bubble that they can easily pop with the use of their fingers. Like the words of us and we. But there's only a space for I and me.
There are times that people are degrading me for being who am I as a person. They force me to admit what gender that I have. They force me to say that I am gay. It's not easy to say it. Take note of that. Because I always have this thinking that the people surrounding me will leave me because I'm different from the others. For my attitude, personality, and behavior that I have. For liking girly stuffs. For admiring straight same-sex men. For being me, as a gay person. It affects and changes the way how I live in my life. It affects more on my mental health, that my anxiety and depression continues to trigger me.
And all I can say to everyone and also to those people who are keeping on forcing a member of their family, friends, or anyone who you think that is a part of our community, just always remember the word, "SPA". Which means, be sensitive, be patient and lastly, be acceptive.
You must learn how to feel of what the other's feeling. Try to put yourself in their shoes. And be more careful and mindful of your actions and words it can hurt or affect anybody, whether it can be physically, emotionally, or mentally.
We must adapt patience to ourselves. Do not precede things, especially when it comes to their personal life. In short, mind your own business girl.
And lastly, learn how to accept without doubts and hesitations when it comes to our genders. Because we are all humans. We are all equals. We are all living and breathing the same air. We all deserved to be loved and appreciated by many. No one deserves to be alone just because he/she is different. And always remember, claim and embrace your uniqueness cuz we are all born this way.
Again, this is your unbothered queen, Simoun Luise Ocampo, from AD 12-01 of University of Perpetual Help System Dalta - Molino,
That would be all, thank you, and have a good day! 💋

• What's up bloggers!! i'm Hariet Monares; they normally called me "Hariet" or "Har" but seriously you can call me anything you want — but of course a decent:)
I'm currently attending University of Perpetual Help System Dalta-Molino campus within 4 years of studying here. 17th of age & I have a passion to be a Cabin Crew and Musical Theatre which i'm hoping to pursue it as a career. Introvert person but I can go along with extroverted person. My impact of my hobbies as the passion of dance, sing and act. It gives me joy and confident for what gifts that I have. lasty, I'm a family goal oriented in that we are very religious & silly and can be fun if we agree at some point.:)
I was born & raised in this town called DOHA, QATAR which it gives me so much memories that every childhood that i've been, i will forever cherish it. I studied my entire whole childhood at PHILIPPINE SCHOOL OF DOHA and AMERICAN SCHOOL OF DOHA. I remember one time... I was 6 years old dancing to Ne-yo's songs and mom was filming it & she be kinda like.. "YAS HONEY! YOU FLEW THAT WIG." and basically it really gained me more confidence within my ownself!! — When I was born i'm part of the religious community named:: "MISSIONARY FAMILY OF CHRIST" it's an organization of Catholic Religion which gathers worshiping God and families that will brought closer to him. Proud to say that I am a consistent servant because I still serve in him. Here's one of my my favorite quotes that I believed he will do anything that I surrender.
"Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:7."
Around 2014, I became part of the Sacristan or Altar Server in Doha and I have so many encountered throughout my service as a servant of him, made so many friends of course from different countries and nationalities must admit, it was really fun to have people who will never leave a leaf of memories but instead, as if the trees are meant be grow as it parted with. In times... so many blessings I have experienced:: Musical theatre play and casted in the play in Cinderella and it was a blast for having me there as a part. I started joining pageants that will I forever cherish it :)
Here's a song that i can barely relate sang & wrote by my favorite member of the boyband One Direction named, Harry Styles. relatable and accurate that I, myself is a sweet creature because myself know how humbled in all aspects & I am very sweet like candy <333
As my journey begins at my recent school is that, I achieved for what my passion is. in 10th grade, I was in a cast of musical play "The wizard of Oz" and I became Glinda to specified. I became choir in a seminary last 2 years ago as well joined so many activities because I have a purpose in this society and I am an advocate to those who felt uneedy and worthless, God is within us!!! •
As I transfer here in Philippines so many opportunities to take in to myself. So many realizations to become for what I have as educated, well-mannered successful course that I wish to be. the persistent decisions, the failures I made, for all struggles for what I have now.. soon as it proccess, my blessings ate gonna rain cats and dogs that I, myself will only achieve it. Thank you to all my friends out there for non-stop supporting me. i love you all.
— all the love. xo
